Redmi will launch the Redmi Turbo 5 in India on June 16, the company announced on Friday. The handset will be the first Turbo series smartphone from the brand in the Indian market. It will be available for purchase through Amazon, as confirmed by a dedicated microsite.
The company has also confirmed key performance details of the device. The Redmi Turbo 5 will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. It is claimed to deliver an AnTuTu score of over 2.3 million points. The phone will support up to 24GB RAM, including 12GB of virtual RAM.
Redmi will also offer UFS 4.1 onboard storage on the device. However, the exact storage variants have not yet been disclosed. The smartphone will include a 3D Ice-Loop cooling system for heat management during heavy use.

The company has teased the device in black and white colour options. The final commercial names of these finishes have not been revealed yet.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is already available in China, where it features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports high brightness levels of up to 3,500 nits. The Chinese variant includes a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, along with a 20-megapixel front camera.
It is also equipped with a 7,560mAh battery and supports 100W wired fast charging. These specifications may give Indian buyers an idea of the performance and battery focus of the upcoming device.
The India launch on June 16 will reveal final pricing, storage options, and full specifications. Further details are expected as the launch event approaches.
